Futurosity keeps evolving. For many years, it was the business site for my consulting practice. Then, after I switched to WordPress and began blogging on topics that interested me, it morphed into an online repository of my musings on blogging, technology, Apple, software, books, and writing.
After noticing that Futurosity was becoming a hodgepodge of random topics, I split it into several, more focused, blogs: Handpicked Software, Mystics of the Ordinary, and Upstart Blogger.
Finally, after discovering Pligg, I tried to turn Futurosity into a community site. But I didn’t have the time to babysit the site the way you need to and after a while I noticed that it had become filled mostly with spam. So, I’ve pulled the plug. If you were one of the few legitimate participants in the Futurosity Grapevine…sorry.
Well, now what?
When I started blogging on Futurosity, I thought I would blog about…the future. Mostly, about technology. Since then, my interests have widened. I’ll be writing more about technology, science, politics, the environment, innovation, etc.
Can I play?

Welcome Back Robert!
I’ve missed the old Futurosity and your personal view and take on things. Look forward to more of that.
Hey, thanks Dev! Nice to hear from you. I’ve been very busy lately with Upstart Blogger. I’m still not sure what I’ll do with Futurosity, but I have a few ideas. Stay tuned.
hi robert
as the orig designer of the theme i wonder if i could ask you about a problem im having with a theme based on your theme ‘fakeblog’, its a problem with the scrollbar moving because of a plugin (wp e-commerce) but it appears to be theme related as it doesnt happen with the default theme ;(
roger, it looks like you’re using a knockoff of my Futurosity Magazine theme. I’m sorry, but I can’t help you.
First, I’m not supporting themes that have been released under Upstart Blogger, since I no longer own them. Second, I don’t support mods of my themes, because I have no idea what the author of the mod has modified. Finally, I can’t troubleshoot problems with plugins other than those I distribute with one of my themes; there are simply too many of them.
Your best bet is to contact the author of the mod or the author of the plugin. Good luck!
hi robert thanks for your illuminating response ;)i have enquired like you mention already but as you were the original designer and this problem also happens with the original futurosity magazine which i was using then i thought maybe you could spare a few minutes as the original designer to see what is ‘probably an easy thing’ for you to recognize what the problem is. sorry i made this assumption.
